Church is all about growing in our relationship with God and each other, and serving others both inside and outside the church. Stepping out of our church to make a difference for God in the world in which we live brings God's love to others in our community.

Initiate 2024
November 8 & 9 in Kingston, ON
As summer comes to an end, we are so excited to begin sharing the details of Initiate 2024. Initiate is our annual Leadership Conference designed for Kids, Jr. High, Youth, and Young Adult Pastors/Leaders and their leadership teams.
The desire is to equip, serve, and care for you as leaders and for your leaders and volunteers.
LOCATION: Kingston Gospel Temple
DATES: Friday, November 8th & Saturday, November 9th, 2024.
Our theme for Initiate this year is "GOSPEL EXPERIENCES." We really believe that this next generation of kids, students, and young adults needs to experience the gospel before it's ever explained to them. We do a lot of explaining in our ministries, often at the expense of offering any type of experience.
We believe compassion and hospitality must be at the forefront of the next generation's experience of the Gospel. So, that is precisely where we will be shifting our focus at Initiate 2024.
Is the next generation in your community, in your church, experiencing it before you're attempting to explain it? If we are going to continue to prioritize our mandate to go and make disciples, then we need to be really great at not just explaining the Good News but allowing everyone to experience it first!
We have invited Ben and Emma Narayanan to be our keynote speakers this year. Ben and Emma are currently the Lead Pastors of Avant Life Church, Vancouver. As leaders, they are passionate about sharing the message of Christ through boldness, innovation, and creativity.
Along with our 3 General Sessions at Initiate, we will also offer various break-outs to help equip you and your leaders for ministry. You and your leaders will be able to choose from various break-out options covering a variety of topics.

Ben & Emma Narayanan
- Ben & Emma are the co-Lead Pastors of Avant Life Church, which they planted in 2018. They are passionate about leadership development, church planting and encouraging people to enter God's calling with bold faith and humble surrender.

Jeremy Albrecht
- Jeremy, his wife Melissa and their 3 children, Jake, Lydia and Sophie, reside in Peterborough, ON. He currently serves as our Leadership Health & Youth Director at the EOND office. Jeremy is passionate about developing leaders, engaging the unchurched and equipping young leaders to lead at their greatest potential.
WORSHIP TEAM:
EOND House Band
- The EOND House Band is a collective of passionate worship leaders from various churches across our district. Their desire is to uplift, inspire, and create space for everyone to engage in authentic worship, drawing people closer to God.
BREAKOUTS:
This year our break-out format will take on a slightly different format than previous years. Breakout (A) will focus on the leader themselves, regardless of their age or the ministry they are serving in. While Breakouts (B) & (C) will focus on ministry specific tools and training for the ministry context the leader is currently serving in:

Volunteering
Volunteering with KPC Ministries
Many of our church ministries require volunteers to complete the Plan to Protect Training Program and provide a current Vulnerable Sectors Police Check. If you feel called to be a part of our Nursery, Kids, or Youth programs or want to get involved in another aspect of the church, we would love to chat with you and get to know you better. You can start by connecting with Pastor Steve or Pastor Josh.
Just a reminder: The next training session will take place on October 20 after the service. This training is for new volunteers and those who finished training last fall. If you're planning to attend, please reach out to Pastor Josh.
